Indoor lighting is not the same as sunlight—and your pickleball sunglasses shouldn’t be either. Dink builds lens tints to match the ball and the environment so you react sooner.
Outdoor (sun, shade, mixed clouds)
• Green lens for green/yellow balls. A medium-light green hue increases contrast against blue skies and shaded baselines without going too dark.
• Violet lens for red/orange/pink balls on colored courts. Keeps warm-color balls crisp in haze.
Indoor (LEDs, fluorescent, or low light)
• Natural lens for any ball color. This neutral tint sharpens edges, preserves true color, and avoids over-darkening under artificial light.
• For facilities using orange or pink balls, Violet can also excel indoors by enhancing warm-tone contrast.
Fit features to look for:
• Wrap designs to block overhead glare and side light
• Anti-fog and ventilation for temperature swings
• Impact-rated lenses for protection at the kitchen line
• Secure, non-slip nose/temple grips for fast footwork
Most players over 40 perform best in medium-light tints; very dark lenses can hide ball spin indoors and outdoors. Build your kit with Green (outdoor), Violet (warm-ball play), and Natural (indoor/low light), and you’ll be covered year-round.
